Well from the price obviously, because many alts have a pairing with BTC and have a big correlation with the price of btc, like if the price of btc UP alts price down and when btc down alts also become down in the price.

in my own opinion, a huge disadvantage of an altcoin is when it's crypto project isn't that having high in demands or they're not effective enough to meet the community gap between people and services.
there are too many altcoins today that their price values aren't pumping because of their crypto projects that were not that effective and people didn't  see them worth of investments.
Bitcoin is a peer-to-peer cryptocurrency but when there's another variety of altcoin that are almost the same with Bitcoin then I don't think it has sense or would have worth of investments.

They're volatile as hell and you never know what's gonna happen. Not to mention you don't know when the crypto bubble is gonna burst.

aside from they're not stable coins, most of the have no working products or projects.

it is like a temporary opportunity to make money , just like hit and run. when the coins in the market got hyped , a lot of people come and buy it all at once , in the end it is like a ponzi too where the last investor won't get any benefit but a huge loss.

That's a pretty vague question but let's try to answer. There are too many altcoins with little or no use case at all. Many have died, abandoned, or remain stagnant since they are irrelevant. There's also too much hype going around which I think is not good in the long term.
