Why you use Bitcoin?

Hi, I am new to Bitcoin.

I want to know why you use Bitcoin? I understand that cryptocurrency have a lot of aspects that are better than traditional one. But Bitcoin is lack of recognition from authority or from most of the people. And the price fluctuate so much. The project may after all be fail too.

Do you use Bitcoin because you want to promote this evolutionary change? Or you use it as a financial commodity to earn profit from the price differences?

Right now, both.
I'm accumulating BTC for the investment right now, and I believe that this is the wave of the future for currency. Everyone is looking for frictionless payments that don't have the same kind of regulations as normal fiat currency.  Obviously it's a gamble, but there is definitely a market out there for this, and I think there is potential for co-existence of digital and physical currency.

You can use the Bitcoin to gamble. I believe Poker + gambling has big future with Bitcoin, no necessary gambling licence where gow want just piece of pie to allow you operate gambling site, and no ID required from customers. Its all about freedom and free market

I use it because it's the future. I'm sure that in twenty-thirty years we can't imagine a world without digital money storage and online transactions, just like we can't imagine todays world without online shopping, online education, etc. As I said, it might take a long time though, because storing online money (in fact storing it on one single file) will make people feel uncomfortable. We talk about peoples money (=peoples lives) here so it may take a while for the average person to fully embrace the system and become a part of it.
Even if I'm wrong and this won't be used by the majority of the world within dozens of years, bitcoins are still a good investment, simply because it has a lot of advantages compared to the current way of money transactions. So yeah, I believe in bitcoins. And so does a growing amount of people with me. And believing in something means value increase. Basic economics.
