If i had big capital, i would invest in real estate first. But to invest in altcoin, you can start with any amount of capital. If you have to have like $70k to invest in real estate (in my country), you can start invest in altcoin with $100 for example. Bitcoin does not have a high fee at the moment, i have just sent a bitcoin transaction of a few hundred dollars and it only costed me less than $1 for sending that. So yes, for me, altcoins are more than needed, but investing in them depends on every person.
