buying a subway with BTC

Thought this was interesting, i know they are franchises but it all helps to spread the word! if the bitcoin franchisees get together this would be massive!

In all seriousness though, Subways are apparently one of the easier franchises to get/run. It seems unlikely that corporate would push that sort of mandate on its franchisees.

Subways are independently owned franchises, the Franchise does not make the decision of which shops will accept Bitcoin, its the owners of the shop who decide if they want to accept Bitcoin or not.

Well, that really depends on the franchise agreement. AFAIK Subway has never been worried about standardizing payment options.
