Hi, I'm a newb. I've started doing mining and all this week, first with Prime, and then Protoshare coins.

I downloaded the Protoshare wallet from the right place. I've added all the "addnode <IP#> add" listed on this page: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=325261.0

addnode 162.243.67.4 add
addnode 162.243.54.126 add
addnode 37.139.29.236 add
addnode 64.90.183.137 add
addnode 180.183.205.118 add

I've installed the software on mutliple computers with the same result. I've tried to email the Invictus guys to see if they could help but no reply.

I've tried to send my Ypool shares from my mining to my wallet and they never showed up. The green check mark at the botton has never shown up. It sits at one hour for days. Have I lost all the coins I've mined that I tried to send to my wallet? Why is everyone else able to synch up by mine sits for days? I used Ypool because the wallet would never sync in the first place.

Great, so I can't post in the Protoshare thread, and no one seems to care here.

Listen BTCIRV, I had the same issues but was able to fix it easily.

Are you running on *nix or Windoze?

If you are running 'doze, open a CMD terminal window and navigate over to the directory that your Protoshares QT is located.

Type:

Code:
protoshares-qt.exe -addnode=168.63.12.227

And hit enter.  The QT should open automatically and connect.

If you still have issues, please feel free to private message me and I'll see what I can do (though I mostly lurk on this site).

>>  Why is everyone else able to synch up by mine sits for days?

no, you are not the only one. I have tried on 3 pcs and it never worked (adding all kinds of nodes manually in the console and in the inf file). I have even tried on my mother`s pc ;-)

by the way, I am not new in the mining. this is why /for the moment/ protoshares is a scam for me.

go to here
C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\ProtoShares
and paste this file replacing your current peers list
https://mega.co.nz/#!LIEGiYKR!ebCf2HgM3woIsFuGcSUWHXHCLT50ZujLFNgfrXQHHG8

restart protoshares wallet and it should start syncing

please note AppData is hiden by default and needs to be visable
to do so open a window and press ALT then go to tools. folder options, view, scroll down untill you see show hidden files. select it and click ok

best regards,

the .dat file is pretty much the same as using addnode but has a hell of alot more addresses. its basicly a list of every successful connection my wallet has ever made to another wallet (hence the size)

its one of the easier ways to get around this problem and works with most coin wallets
