Hi excited to be part of this board. I just got on the last 200$ train before the 400$ stop! And happy I did!

 I found out about bitcoin because I am a System Admin and I got the job to block traffic coming from a virus/worm called 'zeroaccess' on our firewalls.


Looked into what what Zeroaccess does as a virus and saw that the worm infects millions of machine to do 'bitcoin mining'. Not knowing what the hell that meant it led me down the road to discovering Bitcoin!

Great! And I got here a week ago, read about a Norwegian guy in a local newspaper who made BIGG cash with bit coins. Was a earlier adopter, bought thousands of BTC for $22.

I'm waiting for me to be able to post : I'm really lost with alternate currencies wallet and I need informations.
Can someone help me ?

I have understood the wallet thing with BTC, but not with other currencies.

Exemple :

- I have my BTC wallet : n12345 with lets say 1 BTC
- I want to buy PPcoin. What with my wallet n12345 ?

Do I just need to go to https://www.bitaddress.org and create one wallet for one currencie ?

Get your post count to 15-20 and wait for 2-3 days limits will get removed as time progresses.
For other coins, e.g You want to buy litecoin, you have to download a litecoin wallet. Then go to an exchange (assuming they exchange Bitcoin for Litecoin), select how many litecoins you want and send proportional value BTC to their address. They will then send the Litecoins to your litecoin wallet.
