BUY LOW SELL HIGH
What is complicated to understand ?
Right now Bitcoin is high, Litecoin is low.

The only problem is Litecoin will always be low  Tongue

But seriously, stay away from alternative cryptocurrencies unless you want daytrade

I don't know why everyone is so negative about Litecoin. When I started to get into Crypto Currency. Litecoin was not even $1, now it is over $4. And I started only a few months ago.

Litecoin is just a Bitcoin clone, it has no original ideas. That's why I think that Litecoin will become cheaper and cheaper

Yeah yeah Litecoin is dead, just go buy Bitcoin when it is high so I can sell you some and when it goes down I will tell you Bitcoin is dead so I will buy back all your Bitcoins and make a profit.

This, together with hundreds of other alternative coins (some already dead). All you can be sure there will be new alternative coins every year.

When the coin is really usefull, the high price doesnt matter. Why should I buy useless cheap coin  Huh

Bitcoin is a safer bet, but litecoin has more potential for growth.

You guys behave like newcomers : few months ago, everyone was saying Bitcoin is dead while the price was going down.
I didn't listen to the trolls and bought a lot of Bitcoin for less than $100.

Now the price of Litecoin is a bit low compared to Bitcoin but it will not last. Do some research before investing !

BTCChina is planing to accept Litecoin direct buying, it is only a matter of time.
So you can expect the LTC/BTC difference to go back before the massive Chinese Bitcoin adoption.
The creator of Litecoin is nothing less than the brother of the CEO of BTCChina.

I do think Litecoin does has its potential, I am confident it will go up much much higher before end of this year. And next year, I think it will worth at least $100.

BTC is over rated at the moment.
You can try LTC. Price might (or not) increase in the future Smiley

Small players are out for BTC, although I rather buy PPC than LTC, in the long run LTC should be third no doubt.

I would invest 90% btc and 10% ltc
Yes, that's how you should invest. Diversify your portfolio. If you are investing $1500 buy litecoins of $150, even if it gets to $10 in Nov 2014 you got your money more than doubled in a year  Wink

As someone who has mined, invested, and traded both LTC and BTC, I would recommend diversifying like this. You can make continual income if you day-trade BTC-USD-LTC smartly.

Diversify for sure, Litecoin does have a strong future.

I would also recommend looking at Peercoin.

there's a chance litecoin will take off eventually. it's all about risk tolerance. litecoin is much, much more speculative than bitcoin. much, much riskier. if you want to be safe, invest in btc.
