You can buy a Subway with BTC? Someone tell Rob Ford. He likes things that can be bought with BTC and I think he's been looking for a Subway.

In all seriousness though, Subways are apparently one of the easier franchises to get/run. It seems unlikely that corporate would push that sort of mandate on its franchisees.

Subways are independently owned franchises, the Franchise does not make the decision of which shops will accept Bitcoin, its the owners of the shop who decide if they want to accept Bitcoin or not.

Well, that really depends on the franchise agreement. AFAIK Subway has never been worried about standardizing payment options.
