There was a post I had seen on here once, someone had hooked up a very old CPU to a breadboard and got it running some sort of mining software. They just so happened to have found a block. It was miniscule chances to like 1 block every 7000years (someone did some math on it). I just cannot find this post.

Almost is the key word there. And he showed proof that he indeed did find it.

Can't remember running into that topic. Sounds interesting.

Damn I gotta find it. I know it was a post on bitcointalk. I just can't remember who linked me to it from where. It literally is the rarest block find I think anyone will ever see.

This guy just had this old old CPU with crazy wires, res, caps, etc running to it from a breadboard with a little LCD output saying "AbsoluteShitSpeed/MegaHashes".
