Alright fine, I'll play along. There's a few problems with your statement:
- It was in a chain of comments about hiding assets from a spouse (again, the Bitcoin PR problem);
- Without any context, it implies subterfuge... again, if there is a clear and understood agreement to maintain financial separation, Bitcoin is not useful at all in such a situation;
- The language "smart men", in the context it's in, contributes to the misogynistic tone, intentional or not;
- At no point until after I and others called you on it did you fix your story - there's a twinge in me that doesn't believe you, and I'm sure I'm not the most cynical person who would look up Bitcoin.
to be honest...all i see is a prick that posted in this thread for the sole purpose of insulting the people of this forum. you can play it off any way you want, but we both know you posted in this thread for no other reason than to fuck with people.
No, I posted in this thread in my long standing effort to clean up the cesspool that Bitcoin's perceived as by the public at large - mostly due to the loudmouths on this forum. It's pretty tough to suggest the idea of Bitcoin to anyone when if they go look it up on their own, the first things they see are people shrieking: "taxation is theft" and whenever the subject of women-folk come up it's "whores", "buy them shoes and undies with bitcoin lol" and "I use bitcoin to hide assets from my wife, it's okay though because I'm pretty sure she's hiding shit from me too."
It should be noted I'm not calling everyone on this forum part of the idiot circus, there are a few center stage and the majority of the users are simply sitting on the sidelines - I also didn't insult everyone in the thread, I only insulted
you, and only because of this air of smug superiority apparently because of your financial relationship with your spouse.
This is not a troll attempt (another pet peeve of mine with the forums, any contrary opinion is automatically a troll - most users have absolutely no fucking clue what the term means in the context of the internet) - this is genuine self-reflect on us as a community. I'm part of it, and no saint (my one regret in this thread is the insulting language used, it's your only legitimate criticism of my comments) and we need to clean this shit up unless you like maintaining Bitcoin as a fringe currency with no chance at better than 0.001% adoption.
