I do not know if some Bitcoiners are taking it too far but this one might marginally be close to character assassination unless those Bitcoiners can confirm from the event organizers themselves that Roger Ver was "conning" his way to make it appear that the event was a Bitcoin Cash conference.

Roger Ver continues to funnel epic memes to crypto twitter by being exactly who he is – a crypto con-man. His ‘bitcoin cash versus bitcoin core’ yawp is tiresome and loathsome at the same time. And the internet isn’t about to let him get away with it.

Roger Ver is the crypto worlds snake oil salesman. Attempting to lure those new to crypto into his Bitcoin.com web and convince them that ‘Bitcoin Core’ is old technology and bitcoin cash is the true vision of Satoshi. Consider the arrogance it takes to believe that you can co-opt Satoshi’s vision and claim it as your own. Con-man.

In another round of stupidity this weekend Roger Ver and his crew co-opted a conference in Tokyo and used optics to try and convince all of us that it turned into a Bitcoin cash love fest. Strategic photos were taken, emails were circulated, and successive rounds of media hits were planned. More snake oil.

To be clear, no matter what Roger and his cronies say, THIS WAS NOT A BCASH EVENT!

"Zero mention of Bcash on this agenda"

"Oh look, a perfectly placed photo op"

"Even fake invitations were created to attempt to “prove” the appearance of bcash’s presence"

To know both sides of the argument, this is Roger Ver's reply.

To the Twitter liars like Whale Panda and DarkPill claiming tonight's Tokyo event wasn't related to BCH, the reception desk was covered with BCH signs, and every single person who attended was given a BCH sticker.

Core supporting liars are busy on Twitter trying to claim no one was there for Bitcoin Cash or myself. People literally lined up for nearly an hour to take Bitcoin Cash photos with me, their BCH stickers, and wallets., and the reception desk had BCH signs, and handed out BCH stickers to every single person who attended. Here is one of the flyers that most people received to inform them of the event. (Clearly BCH related)

This is why it is never boring in Bitcoin land. Cool

I think if would be so much more productive and better for the growth of crypto if they all just buried the hatchet and worked together instead of against each other.

The internal politics within the crypto community doesn't help us at  all. Hopefully one day they will realize this and stop bashing each other.

It is always amazing to see how many "real" people inspired with cryptocurrencies. It's different to chat with someone on the Internet and discuss a blockchain and to visit such conferences and meet a lot of interested investors.

I agree that bitcoin cash offers some advantages comparing to Bitcoin, but so are other coins and tokens. Highjacking the bitcoin by saying bch is real bitcoin is not fair and doesn't feel right at all...

But if the event was not really a Bitcoin Cash event and then you see Roger Ver claiming that it was, then he surely would deserve a bashing, right?

Look at this tweet, and mind you that it was never confirmed that the event was organized by Bitcoin Cash.

it does not matter. In the history of Bitcoin, Roger Ver is only a minor person. To a certain extent, Satoshi Nakamoto is also the same. Decentralization is the consensus foundation of virtual currency. Why do you care about the whereabouts of one or two so-called celebrities?
As for Bcash, as a Chinese, I know the Chinese best. I currently own Bitcoin, I will always have Bitcoin, but I will not hold any Bcash.

Without proof that it was a Bitcoin Cash conference, it is better to warn others of this con artist who is trying to confuse everyone and manipulating them to believe that Bitcoin Cash is Bitcoin.

I agree to a "certain extent" but this is not what the topic is about.

I do not hate Bitcoin Cash. I believe if they want big blocks then they should have it as long as they know that they are holding an altcoin.

So it turns out it really wasn't a Bitcoin Cash event:

https://twitter.com/WhalePanda/status/985893231824076800

But yeah, it's pretty funny. What he claims is the reception booth with Bitcoin Cash materials may simply be a Bitcoin Cash booth, seeing as it's a blockchain conference. It's not even a cryptocurrency conference, so there's no need to focus on any. It's just your run of the mill Bitcoin Cash propaganda. I personally don't think this is a big deal, but only because this isn't unexpected of him lmao.

This is the guy who:

1. Uses bitcoin.com as a surrogate to misguide people into thinking that "BCash is the real Bitcoin" which is a load of bullshit.
2. Tried using the @bitcoin twitter handle to promote BCash until twitter decided to intervene.
3. Introduces himself with a cringe-inducing "I am the first ever person to invest in bitcoin", "I am a self-made millionaire".
4. Alongwith his co-conspirators like Wu, he has tried attacking the main chain, pumps BCash at crucial moments and uses all sort of underhand tactics to confuse new people coming into bitcoin.

In my opinion, he deserves all the bashing he gets and some more.

The guy blows his top, when you call Bitcoin Cash...... BCash. The fact that you take the Bitcoin out of the name, is enough for him to lose his marbles. Why? He is all about smoke and mirrors and being a con artist. We know Bitcoin Cash is a wannabe, Bitcoin imitation and they will do anything to sell BCash as the original Bitcoin <BTC>

They even use BTC on Reddit < reddit.com/r/btc/ > to promote Bitcoin Cash, how pathetic can you be? All this underhanded techniques will backfire on them, soon.

They need to copy Bitcoin <BTC> to succeed, because they cannot do it on their own. Pathetic.  Roll Eyes

Not sure but sometimes I believe the WhalePanda is too quick to come to conclusions when it is about Bitcoin Cash or Roger Ver. I want confirmation from the organizers of the event themselves. I want to hear them say "we did not invite that gatecrasher in our conference!" Hahaha.

What conclusions would we need though? There's really no room for bias here. He posted evidence that the conference was a blockchain conference, which challenged Ver's claim about it being a Bitcoin Cash conference. I don't think a Bitcoin Cash event would market itself like that unless it was intentionally being misleading, in which case the buzz is invalid because its attendees came specifically for a blockchain conference. All of this, of course, is assuming the image he posted were legit. I doubt something like this would be fabricated though.

Regarding Roger Ver, I wouldn't be surprised if he actually were invited considering his popularity in the community, but I don't believe for a second that that was a Bitcoin Cash conference lol.

But how can Roger Ver do such a thing? What was he thinking and why? Is there a psychoanalyst in the forum? I believe he is becoming now very delusional to lie and believe in his own lies like that, and argue that it was the Whalepanda and DarkPill who were lying.

Bitcoin Cash supporters in the forum have to be embarrassed by this. Franky1, Jolandfyookball, seriously, your opinions?

The bitcoin community is angered by the moves of Roger Ver but we cannot stop him from promoting his bitcoin cash. Bitcoin cash could also  go up since its features is much better than bitcoin and in the long run it could gain more users. But even though this kind of fact is existing it still cannot overcome bitcoin and bitcoin will still be there and will be much stronger than ever.

it is really sad to see that the drama is still ongoing even after 8 months when they were defeated in taking over bitcoin. they still continue to advertise and the amount of money that is going into the advertisement is ridiculous!

Except Bitmain. They accept only Bitcoin Cash for mining hardware purchases. Bitpay has also started to show where they stand by offering both Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash for their service.

I believe we will also start knowing Coinbase real stance in the coming years. Roger Ver and his allies will not give up.

Blockchain.info has started accepting altcoins before having Segwit implemented. That should also be a sign.

I have never liked roger ver since he began the bcash move,  he claims that he is building a decentralized platform as written in satoshi white paper,  but I see him doing is craving for power and authority in the crypto space.  Maybe satoshi hid his identity to present this kind of event from occurring.  Bitcoin Jesus at 2010 is now bitcoin Judas at 2018.
