It's been time. They seem to do everything they can to fuck up the energy in this forum. I can't imagine it is so hard to make a much better forum and get people to move there. Anyone know of any good alternative forums? |

The mod's are all part and parcel of team 'pump&dump' and they well played the past year or so, but ever since btc lost 2/3 of its gross value from $300 bill to $100 billion, a few months ago post xmas, they have zero tolerance for the denigration of btc,
This place used to be anything goes, and lots of good comments, but now, unless your doing the typical "How can I make a milon dollards' with btc in 24 hours, they just ban you, and delete, or plug the post.
This forum is largely amazon, and its most owned by alibaba china, who owns bitmain, and thus now that bitcoin is in terminal decline, all they know is to kill the people talking about the truth.

I am sure they are doing that on purpose? I mean most of the threads are repeated topics but in different term! Recently many topics were also created in numerous ways to ask why bitcoin is getting spiked and all the shit. Then tons of replies on the same topic everywhere. Off course they were supposed to be closed down before it gets more spammy mate! In general we see many lock downs when the threads has gotten sufficient responses. Isn't it. So why to worry anyway. |

Cleaning up the garbage - in a way or another is needed. If the way it's done is faulty, I guess that you should: 1. Pinpoint the ones where you think they made a mistake. The ones I've checked had clearly low quality posts at the end. 2. Understand that admin/mods are human and can make mistakes. Imho also threads like this one should be locked. But that's my opinion and I guess that they are busy enough without that too. @First77 imho you are one of the spammers and I think that your point is not valid. |

There's been a big cleanup in the frog pond as well with a lot of spam megathreads having been locked. I don't think it will make much difference though as there'll soon get replaced with new ones. The positive thing is at least they disappear out of peoples unread replies lists. |

Would you rather having them trashcanned and everybody's post count decreases? if you report any garbage post when you see them, come and ask for topics to be unlocked. numbers of quality posts should be higher than garbage posts to make it a constructive topic.

All of the boards/threads you have posted pictures of seem to have only the nonsense threads locked. The threads that have been sufficiently answered and every single new response is redundant, repeated and pointless. Which of the threads you regularly visit and contribute to have been locked? I haven't seen any examples of threads that are meant to turn away the intended user-base for this forum.
If you are asking if mods are intentionally trying to make people leave, the answer is no; they are locking the threads that clutter our forum, in the hopes that people stop spamming in that way to either give incentive for people to change their posting habits or leave. I'm confused whether you were really sad to see "Buying drugs with Bitcoin." or "Bitcoin is Life" get locked, are one of those your favorite thread?

Nice to see this being done after the merit system. Merit system made some people to consider the quality of posts they were making and they improved also. But some people continued to make shit posts to increase their post count. Now that old threads are being locked, those shit posters will get helpless. This will also help users to find out useful information and relevant topics. Otherwise, it used to get crowded among so many old threads and affected search also.
One question I would like to ask here is that is it possible to make a search here that excludes all locked threads ?

If you look on the topics are locked, it's obvious that these topics were discussed several times. Same statement rolling and rolling with different phrase. I was surprised as well, but it just seems as the mods have been occupied cleaning the forum.
There were too many repeated topics, each day we were used to having at least 5 o 6 new about merits in the Beginners board, another 5 or 6 in Meta...
So it just seems like a cleaning-necessary action.
