No advertising will not guarantee great profit revenue. There are a lot of other factors beside advertising to make token / project become successful. The first is of course the project it self, does it have real use-case in the real world? And then there is marketing, but marketing is not just advertising, it includes more complex thing like community management, etc.

If the team and project is decent but with good marketing then yes. I do believe there are higher chances of raising more funds if you successfully market your ICO. Thing is you can even sell the junk product out there if you convince the buyers to buy it and if you make sense to them that this is not junk. So if marketing is done right my answer is positive, however the long term ROI for investors can vary and be questionable depending on what is being done by the team and where is project going overall.

The advertisement included on the important role that gives a lot of impact to the token. This is a simple explanation about that, popular exchange sites were containing huge daily trade and if the coin can be listed on there and that will be automatically giving huge hype to the token and new money will be flying to the daily trade volume of the coin itself.
Remember the majority just like click bait and to be listed on the big exchange site and they must have done some result on the project.

For me a token with good technology and team is better than any token with a great advertising and is listed on popular exchanges. IMO those who focus too much on ads most of the times turns out to be a scam and for this reason I see tokens with good team and tech more profitable in the long run, so long as the team is active, with good public relation and marketing is okay and decent enough.

Sometimes you see a great advertisement campaign with celebrities which raise huge amounts of money. Centra for example, and look at where it is now. They had no product and shady team and it still had large volumes. Now it is basically useless.

Yes. Great advertising can create hype but as we all know as soon as people will understand that your project is not really usable in the real world then that's the time the hype will be dead and eventually the value of your tokens will go down as well. Every product should have great advertising strategy for it can brainwash people and it is one way of spreading the word out to the public about your token.

So its much better to build a very promising project done by brilliant dedicated individuals accompanied with great advertising strategies then the token will surely skyrocket. Generally not all because sometimes this coins is only hype with that advertising although it imparts a big attraction to traders it will not guarantee a good profit if it has a downside in any of the team or technology. Though it will guarantee if the team is active and they have a clear project along with that advertisement.
