Each block is assigned with a private key. The public key, the encrypted data of private key by sha256, of a block is published before it is mined. After a block that contains your transaction is mined, your lucky number will be calculated based on the block's private key and your transaction id. The private key will also be released at that time.

Seems simple enough.  I've been staying away from games that I don't understand and confusing explanations for how they work and are "provably fair". This may be right up my alley.  All the best with the site!

If you have to wait for your transaction to be included in a block to get the 'private key', won't it take 10 minutes before you can tell if you won or not?

I think so - they need to be included in a block.
But to get the result you would not necessarily have to wait 10 minutes. Maybe the last block was found 9 minutes ago, in which case you would wait an average of 1 minute.

EDIT: This is based on averages. "In a perfect world". It is very difficult for all blocks to have a 10-min difference.

Interesting to know that 1 minute is now known as instant verification.

It is even more interesting that people are failing to see what this is: yet another on the chain dice game, exactly equal to all the others you already know about.
