however, it's not like it's illegal to pay for porn, therefor any crypto would work just fine to use,
the length one has to go to Maybe get someones real info(depends if someone used it on an exchange connected to wallet etc), is not something anyone except government could achieve,
and again since it's not illegal, government won't care.

So in short: using crypto for this purpose makes sense, but why it'd be only with Verge does not.

Why would it be fake? Porn one of the best reasons for many to actually use a privacy coin I have seen so far. Also pornhub has in the region of 3.4 billion visitors. If that only translates to 340 mil actual visitors and 2% of them are purchasing customers it is still a staggering number of 7 million people every month with a good incentive to use verge. Why would you pay with credit card when you can use verge? Might turn into a real case of mass adoption.

Cryptocurrencies are still far away from being adopted my mainstream and privacy coins are a niche within crypto, so it is not surprising we see a partnship like that. There is a reason that Monero has the image of being the crypto of choice for angsters, Verge might become the perfect crypto for the erotic content consumer who enjoys full discretion.

Well that didn't really turned out to be good news since xvg was doing pretty fine before they announced that partnership. One look at how verge is doing now shows that many didn't approve of it though :p

even with this dip xvg is still closer to the jan/dec hype time than most other coins
people are right maybe most crypto users would pay for pornhub however its massive advertising with the amount of traffic ph has only need 1% to start buying for success.
in saying that hopefully verge has limited ph from accepting other crytos if its suceeds. even for a set timeframe thats negioted.
if mindgeek decides to back xvg with real $ then we have a very different scenario and a top5 would be easily reach. if they are just testing the market and pulls out then verge is dead

im a bit of a gambler so like yourself i doubled up on my verge in the dip. not much to lose but much to gain if successful .
im expecting either a sharp drop back to 3-4cents or a hike to the 50c range in the coming month.

Many people are angry, because they waited so much and now they introduce that they started partnership with Pornhub, for me it is okay, a lot of people take care about anonymity when they pay for for this type of thing.

I think it's a great partnership, because many people don't want to reveal their activity

So many people don't even read the latest drop of verge and keep spamming by hit and run. The worst partnership ever because the majority of holders and including me was expecting big announcement to support the future adoption of verge but the fact a partnership with useless site.

with a marketcap of 1B dont think they had much of a choice, most big companies wouldnt even bother with crypto as yet so they did get quite a big deal lets see how the cards unfold

When I saw this in the forum, It makes me curios about this news, so after I read it, I just tried to open the site of Phub, then I saw from their site that they were accepting coins as payments. It will be as one of the advertising campaign of the company to promote their products by implementation of project of accepting coins as payments.

if you were one to believe they had something going with amazon/paypal/ebay etc then you must have been dreaming a bit early. if you thought tokenpay then they had already annouce it was not tokenpay a few days earlier. if you had thought a bank..... hahaha nothing to say.
anyway imo its a great direction for a privacy coin
