Bitcoin Address and pool

Hey guys
I'm new to Bitcoin and I have a question.
I made a Bitcoin address at Coinbase, which I think it's like an online wallet, and I recently joined a pool called "Bitcoincz /Slush's pool" and I'm not sure if I need a wallet stored in my computer to eventually receive my bitcoins from the pool website, or if I just need an online wallet like the one I'm using.
Also, does it matter which one or it's just personal preference?

You send btc to every btc addresses, but be careful with online wallets and security (see recent events...).
