at 310, when it became obvious that correction from 350 is over and 300 is as good as we'll see for some time (ever?). bought less than 20, for whatever cash was left on exchanges. now enyoing the rollercoaster for a while. didn't move to cold though, this is speculative play money, to be sold once we speed past ~600.

Last substantial purchase: early May 2013 at 97 after selling for 165 on the dead cat bounce.

Last actual purchase: last night, 4.3 coins at CAD420 plus cash trade premium (10%) from Localbitcoins because Virtex has become unusable.

I deposited $10k in October hoping to buy another 50 coins on Virtex. They've changed their deposit and verification rules and it now seems it will take another 5-7 weeks before I can get my money in.

If I'd known this back in October, I would have gladly paid the 10% premium to a Localbitcoin seller and still would have doubled my money since then. When my $10k finally goes through (hopefully this year), I'll see if I'm bearish or bullish and decide whether to buy more or just hold.

After months of hearing about Americans being Goxed, I've been Virtexed. Too bad. They used to be one of the best exchanges.

i think that number will be very, very difficult to ascertain. i don't even know where one would start.

as usual i missed that brief sr crash and only found out day later. i blame hectic working hours back then. when the price bounced back as if nothing happened it prooved me that only speculators dropped their stashes. in total they shaved off about fith of the price - only then i realised that speculator's take in bicoins is not as big as it used to be and more people are using bitcoins for saving purposes.

$14 before the 2011 crash, $60, and somewhere in the 50s immediately after the April crash. Damnit.. why did I not sell everything to buy:
- as many BTC as possible
- a mining rig back when mining was actually worth doing (In retrospect of course, 20/20 hindsight)

I have a very firm grip...have never sold any except when needed to cover fiat obligations which has been more than I'd like but unavoidable.

EDIT:
If you're like me and don't have a lot of fiat at the moment, work your way to BTC wealth haha. Sell products/services on coingig, OTC, etc. It adds up, especially when the price is doing this. That $100 profit on whatever u sell @ 100 is now $430. Profit and SAVE. Plus is supports the BTC economy and community.

This is a really great tip, and it also exposes you to actual transactions in BTC, which helped put a lot of things in perspective for me.

I sold ~$200 worth of game cd-keys that came with video cards for mining a few months back for BTC.  It is worth considerably more now!
