Why gambling is portrayed negatively almost everywhere?

Don’t compare it with trading, there is a huge difference. In trading you have variety of options to minimize your loss but in gambling you don’t have a choice.

The best way to put that is simply because some people bet WAY MORE then they are willing to lose, if you just put a small percent back that doesn't hurt your finances, I do not see a problem!!!

in my opinion, any act or substance that harms humans beings in any way whether mentally, physical, emotionally or financially comes under the prohibited category. Gambling has ruined lives of thousands of players and yet many are destined to meet the same end. It is very obvious to portray this negatively so that people will stay away from it and this is best in their own interests. This game can turn life of a gambler into a living hell within a blink of an eye.

But whatever people say, this is wrong so it is wrong. No one can make this better by saying anything about it. We all know these gamblers are just earning money that is virtual. They even don’t know how is winning their money. They spend everything in gambling and at the end of day, they just become zero. They never win permanently. Their greed becomes so strong that never let them grow.

In my opinion, trading and gambling both are the travelers of same boat and the only difference they have is that how these two things are conducted. I think people like to go with trading instead of gambling due to its bad reputation outside the world. We can easily see that the people who play gambling are how treated in the society. No one even wants to talk to them.

The bad thing in gambling is that gambler cannot control themselves. They continue until they lose everything. When a gambler lose all his money and even goes in debts then he tries to make some money to gamble again and win his lost money back and for that he can do any illegal activity even he become killer. Gambling creates more crimes that why it is treated negatively.

You are wrong because if once you become addicted then there will be no finance and you will lose everything. Don’t betray yourself that you will never become a gambling addict. I was also thinking before starting smoking 20 years ago and now I cannot quit smoking because I am addicted of smoking. The same is here in gambling, it is also like drugs addiction.

It's not just a social taboo but  a religious one too , and people will be afraid to show their gambling habit to the others in fear of being judged or rejected by their environment that will most certainly contain religious or judgmental people ..
Everyone knows very well the stereotype of that homeless person who lost it all because of gambling and are familiar with tv show and movies showing people in very bad conditions due to their gambling habit , yet everyone get excited whenever watching millionaires that made their fortune from gambling such as Dan Blizerian or gambling movies where the characters get easily rich ..

It was an image made by those who would not want gambling to be taught to the next generations because it is very risky. Even for those who are good at it, sometime broke or lose eventually.

1) In both trading and gambling, one can increase chances of success with experience.

2) Both can get addictive after initial successes.

Yes, for that reason it can be self-destructive because gambling can make you lose everything and can also make you fall into poverty.

It's not all about the religion. Everyone knows the consequences of gambling that's why it is portrayed negatively all over the world. In many countries gambling is prohibited. In my country there are no Casino end gamblers use a hidden Place for gambling. In my society a gambler has no respect even in his family. A gambler ruins his life and his family as well.
