Is Your Wallet Porous?

I was trying to access MyEtherWallet account with my private key when i suddenly imputed a wrong private key to my surprise someone else account was opened so i ask myself is it the same way some else can stumble mistakenly on my account. please what is the better way to protect my wallet, so no one can just enter into my account that cheap. i guess eth is too porous

Not because the private key worked it doesn't necessarily mean you landed on a wallet that someone already owns. As long as you follow the right format of ethereum private keys then you will always successfully open a wallet. But then again, it doesn't mean that the wallet you opened is a wallet that someone owns.
