Okay, maybe somebody can tell me if this is a dumb idea, or if it plain won't work.

I'm not supposed to load software on the computers at work, and I've seen signs of remote operations on them, so I know they watch them.  I don't want to jeopardize my job, so I wont. But, can I do this? Can I load a wallet (armory, probably) on a thumbdrive, put maybe one or two BtC on it, take it to work, and run it from my machine there? I use Win 7 at home, but the comps at work are still XP, which I see as a potential problem. I'd like to be able to shop and do BtC stuff at work, they don't mind if I surf all night (I'm in the toolroom, quite slow at times), but they just don't want us to load new software, which I understand. Anybody see a problem with this? I mean operationally, not problems with me & the IT nazis.

thanks!

Russell

DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING BITCOIN AT WORK!!!!

I got hand made loggers going (ya hardware sniffers) and see way to much back scatter once connected...

besides, Armory just looks like a Python wrapper to me at the moment as I haven't finished looking at the code.

Dude, no do this at work mmmmk!!!!!!!!

Can you take your laptop into work?
If you don't have one, spend a coin and get one.

This is not a job I'm afraid of losing, BTW, it's horribly boring and tedious, which is why I'm looking for interesting things to do while there for 8 hours. If I did do this, I'd only put a partial BtC on it, just enough for trivial stuff... not enough to freak over if I lost it...

What is "Back scatter"? What is a "Python Wrapper"? I'm not a coder, hacker or cracker. Why, specifically, do not do at work?

thanks!
