Characters, not words. I think the price is ok. It can barely compete with regular signature campaigns but you don't have to face any restrictions.

My mistake, however even assuming the average word and spaces is 8 characters, this still equates to about $8.50 per 1,000 words.

I can only imagine the quality of participants he will be getting at this rate.

100 characters * 10 posts = $1.6 (1000 characters)

If that is too expensive, you might want to consider a change of business.
As with your current rate, you will only hire low quality writers if even those. So if you are into shit articles, sure go for it.

Native english speaker won't do anything for that price for sure.

I don't want to be a know-it-all but it's still wrong. Assuming 1 word = 8 characters:

100 Chars = 12.5 words = 0.16$ (so, basically one line of text will make you 0.16$)

1000 / 12.5 = 80
80 x 0.16$ = 12.8$ (per 1000 words)


I don't know why people are flaming. This is a no-brainer; even Newbies can participate. There is no point in harrassing OP for a too low price; there are a lot of signature and bounties out there so why not join these instead of destroying this thread?

Clearly, you've never freelanced. There are people who pay $1 for every 1000 words and yes, they still find workers. And no, not all of those people are pinoys or from Asia. Just have a look around at freelance markets. Seems crazy but it's the harsh reality that 'writers' face when working online.
