It's really hard to find someone who accepts money via PayPal. But that's reasonable, I think most of the "PayPal deals" result in a scam in which the buyer receives their money back from PayPal. And the seller, who send his BTC / LTC, lost his e-coins and haven't received a single penny.

You shouldn't use PayPal for these deals.

Last Saturday I stuck 10 separate lots of 0,05 BTC for 13 GBP each on Ebay and said I'd accept Paypal and would send to buyer's  wallet within the hour.
All 10 lots  went inside 2 hours and I got 9 positive feedbacks by the next day.
Then on the Monday Paypal suspended one of the payments pending an inquiry as one of the clowns said it was an 'unauthorised payment'.
Paypal asked for proof of me sending and I have sent them a screenshot of his buy note giving me his wallet address and also a shot of the blockchain transaction from blockchain.info showing that same number receiving the amount with 788 confirmations.
That should be good enough as far as I'm concerned. I have been with them 12 years with no bother and my Ebay feedback is 100% after over 800 transactions.
If their rules don't accept my evidence (and I do expect this) it's about time they changed them. A screenshot of the blockchain should suffice.
Sadly, there's always one idiot that spoils everything.
I could imagine him doing it for £130 perhaps but £13!!
He must be skint.
Still, 9 out of 10 that I trusted returned that trust.
I'll let you know what Paypal's decision is.

I have a plan though, because eBay listings are free to post now, for like the first 150 listings per month I think, future Bitcoin + PayPal transactions can be like this:

1) Both people set up private 1 penny auctions and invite the other person
2) Both people buy the opposite's auction and then the trading can begin
3) If person scams the other, that person can leave negative feedback and F the other guy's account
4) If trade goes well, both leave each other positive feedback on that private auction

Of course you'd only want to do this method if you are trading with an account that has 200+ reputation on eBay to begin with.

Thats his posted address. He could have other wallets.. and check his feedback.. he's ok to deal. Just use escrow but escrow does not protect paypal payments.. Usually people who want to do low amounts at a time means they want to build their feedback up so the "big scam" can happen.

Hey smartass, you DO know that this wallet is my inputs right?  A scambler, and something I had just cleared out, because inputs closed.

Just as expected, because of their absurd rules Pay Pal gave him his money back and he also gets to keep the bitcoin I sent to his wallet.
Amazing really, I not only sent Pay Pal screenshots of the blockchain transaction along with his note giving me the wallet address,  but also a screenshot of him telling me he'd received it!
I hoped Pay Pal would maybe use this as a landmark case to tell scammers that as long as there was evidence such as I supplied then they wouldn't be allowed to  pull off the 'unauthorised transaction' scams any longer.
But no, the farce continues and people still cannot trade digital currency safely and openly on Ebay allowing people to use Pay Pal as a payment method.

I had the scammer's email on the transaction and sent him this  just now:

Well done my friend, You managed to scam me for £13.
Buy yourself a burger and a beer with it. That's about all it will get you.
To stoop so low for such a tiny amount of money tells me that you must really be poverty stricken.
I'm even thinking of popping a cheque into the post to you so you can perhaps get a few extra bits in for Xmas.
Just remember though son....Karma is the law of the universe and what we do in life comes back to us, good or bad.

That's shitty. Can you not file a police complaint or something? I know it's only £13, but it's the principle and it's still fraud/theft. What's to stop anyone doing this for every paypal purchase made for anything? Such a shame shit like this happens, cos paypal is otherwise a great and easy way to get some coins quick, especially for beginners. So far I've made all my purchases for coins through ebay and paypal and had no problems.

The bottom line is that this 'unauthorised transaction' loophole has to be closed by PayPal.

I mean, is he saying that someone sat at his machine, logged in as him and made a £13 purchase that included a wallet address and then sent me a note 48 hours later thanking me and confirming he'd received it??
Laughable really.

The other transactions went as smooth as silk.

The funny thing is with paypal, the buyer has 30-60 days (not sure) to do chargebacks.

I have sold on ebay, with 3 total chargebacks.

I have won 1 chargeback amazingly for the first time ever.

Since i was selling 2BTC, i made sure i send the guy a tracked letter to his address which requires just his name and him acknowledging that fact i am selling him a intangible item and where evidence of trade can be found on blockchain etc. I then requested the letter to be scanned back to me, and then i release the bitcoins.

two weeks later, i get chargeback from him, claiming that it was unauthorised payment

After contacting paypal and showing them the SCAN of the letter, proof that this was a virtual item and also proof of transaction. Later in the week, i get my money back as that tracked letter that required a signature was my life saver.

If you are going to sell on ebay, make sure you make it clear, that you will protect your self from chargebacks!
