After a lot of Hassel on the Facebook issue I think the Cambridge Analytica is looking for their next target which is their own ico coin which they are planning to release soon. I think they are going to Target cryptocurrency users right after mark.what do you guys say.

It's favorable to them since they are with a timely issue and their name is well known. They are expecting to raise $30,000,000 and they are into this idea before the news came in about the controversy.
Whether it's real or not that they have planned this since before, I guess they got on a good timing as they are quite popular now but if they will push it. But I don't think they'll become successful with what's on their focus of launching their ICO. Blockchain platform that will give control to users information?  Roll Eyes

Wow, I had totally missed this information about Cambridge Analytica planning their own crypto. If they enter the crypto game there will be a very intriguing set of implications.

Any move to crowdraise from Cambridge Analytica seems like a bad one. It will be met with a lot of negative publicity. Also it strikes me as another strange scenario whereby they shouldn't really need to raise money for a potential cryptocurrency.

I think this would greatly impact the public image of cryptocurrencies and their actions will dictate whether the public will see crypto in general as good or better. If they have done well in creating their own coin, I am sure that it will be favorable to crypto but if they have done poorly, crypto will suffer and it's public image will meet a lot of negative reactions.

I mean I doubt they were the ones that were behind the ICO themselves, they were just going to sell the data to people that would want to start their own ICO. So I wouldn't say that they're targetting us, they're targetting anyone who can make them a massive amount of money. And in this day and age, with the amount of crazyness surrounding crypto, people would be able to make a good chunk of change BS'ing an ICO.

So yeah, this is normal in analytics markets.

At one meeting, CA reportedly suggested paying people in far-flung parts of Mexico with cryptocurrency as a reward for filling out surveys; the data gathered from this exercise could be used to help fashion campaigns for political candidates in the country.

So yeah, that is possible.

Cambridge Analytica is not a simple company, it has a solid background some of it are excellent. Its CEO Alexander Nix was involved in 44 US political races including Trumps political campaign. But the only problem is the famous Cambridge scandal, since they are accused of targeting voters by publishing dirty publications against the enemy party candidate. That is why they are banned from facebook and the Information Commissioner of UK have issued a warrant against them.

This history of the company has caused people to have two different views about investing on their ICO. Some thought that since huge political parties are behind it the price must have a future and they will eventually gain huge profit. While others doesnt want to invest due to the scandal.

I will never invest in company tokens that have a bad reputation. Probably because I think a lot of people. I do not believe that their ICO will have success. It seems to me that they will be financed through the Russian ICO. They're probably working with them. In order to hide it, they organize an ICO.

It is any individuals right whether to invest in certain projects, they might have bad reputation but there are many projects without much vision and i do not mind taking some risk in investing a few dollars to see how the project goes, it looks like they have halted the introduction of their planned ICO because of the facebook heat, lets see what they are planning to do.
