I don't know very much about mining.

I was reading some articles about it and I saw 'bitcoin mining farm'. Is this a server park doing mining? I couldn't found good, clear information about it.

bitcoin mining farm these days would be multiple ASIC devices normally 500ghs+

well basicly yes but the "farm" can be a hand full or even 100s of rigs. most use the term if its to much hashing power for average joe to have

Sometimes it can also mean they are doing big GPU mining... or CPU mining... not necessary only ASIC..

Can one even make mining profitable when doing it alone nowadays?
