My intention is to spread my 14 merits. My plan is to reward the types of posts that drew me into the forum.
I feel that Miner support and troubleshooting is an under merited segment of posts; not based on fact more an observation/feeling.

What I'm looking for

  • Posts that you made directed to a problem OP has/had
  • Posts that help OP plan out their electrical,cooling, or any other logistical issues related to mining.
  • Posts that relate to troubleshooting OS systems, new miners, monitoring.

Feel free to submit posts along these lines that aren't specifically mentioned but are inline with what has been stated

Rules/Stipulations

For the time being I will only review 1 post per submission.
Do not post within 7 days of your last submission

-The only rank that I will not be providing Merits to is Legendary.   -I will lock the thread when I run out of Merit to provide   -If I am unsure that your post is helpful I will do some research before awarding Merit.

Quoted for reference.

This post will not receive Merit from me as it's not inline with what I am looking for.

It is also a post on the 15th page of a thread which surely had more than enough answers. You would do well to read and understand OP before submitting again.
I will also delete your initial submission as it was not inline with what was requested in this thread.

Good catch I hadn't thought to investigate these posts further. I'm glad I didn't compliment them on their ability to put together a decently written post.

Do you have a thread; or have you already reported this? I will leave your post available on this thread for a reference point.

EDIT: Reported post to Mod at original post with reference to your findings here. Thank you Darkstar.

Hi I reviewed your post.

It has already received Merit. I'm also not really interested in Meriting posts that have to do with bounty or signature campaigns.
I tried to read back through your other posts but the majority of them were very long bounty threads, and unfortunately the others I didn't understand.

You do seem to be gaining Merit though so best of luck.

So I went through your post. It was on page 8 so I felt I had to dig deeper and then read the OP. He wasn't really asking a question for advice; more giving a statement and asking what do you do. I felt you were fairly articulate and had decent points so I decided to go through your history and find a post worth meriting.

Here's the problem

Initial Coin Offerings, also known as ICOs is the cryptocurrency version of crowdfunding and are a part of the crypto world that is most likely here to stay. It's one of the easiest and most efficient methods for companies and individuals to fund their projects and for regular users to invest in projects they see value in. ICO investors benefit from the opportunity to create significant amounts of profit while supporting the development of disruptive decentralized platforms.

Signs of an ICO Scam

* Poor Presence
   One of the essential elements to consider when assessing a potential ICO scam is the individuals behind it. A robust initial coin offering will present potential investors with a detailed team breakdown, listing founders, developers, advisors, security experts, and anybody else associated with the project.

* Guaranteed Profits
   Of all the red flags that identify a potential fraud ICO, guaranteed profits are the most obvious. There are no certainties in the blockchain ecosystem, and no proven, reliable, or guaranteed methods of generating profits.

* No White Paper, Bad White Papers, or Blatantly Plagiarized White Papers
   A white paper is the most important element of any initial coin offering. In a white paper, an ICO will present an outline of what it plans to achieve, a breakdown of how the technical aspects of the platform function, and delineate its token distribution model.

* Shady Premines
   Premining is a common practice in the initial coin offering ecosystem that refers to tokens that are made available to a small group of individuals before the project or crowdsale goes live.

*  No Roadmap / Unrealistic Roadmaps
   Moreover, if the roadmap includes plans of using ICO capital to develop a prototype or makes any references to future token price, it’s probably a scam.

* Too Good
If an ICO appears to be too good to be true, it probably is. Maintaining a skeptical perspective when assessing initial coin offerings will help you to avoid getting scammed.

This post is a copy/paste from this site.
While you didn't copy paste the whole thing it is clear you copied their information and tried to pass it off as your own without citing sources.

I awarded your post 1 Merit as it was on topic, and provided a possible solution to OP's mining issue. It turned out to be something else all together but without people such as yourself providing starting points a problem may never be solved. Keep up the good work.

Hey there,
I didn't Merit the post you submitted as some of the info had already been shared earlier in the thread. For that post I would also look at trimming quotes a bit, just makes things easier to read.

I did however go through your post history, and I like what I saw. You are an active member you try to help when you can, how you can; while also just having discussions here and there. So I found this post and decided to give it 1 Merit

Keep doing what you are doing.

You have broken a submission rule in OP; this tells me you do not read the thread before posting.

Also I did take a look at the posts and they are not what I'm looking to provide Merit. 1 of them is in a signature campaign that screwed you guys over.Not really useful to the community at large.

The second submission more so just provides false hope and asks questions that had already been answered.

Feel free to apply again following the rules in the OP; including how far apart you can apply. Please bring useful posts as I'm not planning on just giving Merit where it is not deserved

So we can submit only one post for a review?

For review:
So in mobile phone Game (Android, iOS), PC game, how to implement that (title)?

In game, game company's specific crypto currency's address, QR code appears for payment receiving,

gamers see that, and send amount to that address, it should be automatically recognize and when it confirmed, game should automatically give item to users.

How this be done technically behind the scene?
I guess you looking for a technical explanation?

I have been working in Payment Gateway solutions, like any other credit card payment there are number of Payment gateway solution offering crypto currency payment too they give you APIs and you simply initiate every time payment is need you get QR code or payment address where client is suppose to make payment. At same time you get event or you inquire using same address for payment confirmation.

In the backend payment gateway company handles the address generation and payment receiving confirmation. They will charge you some percentage of course.

But if want to create you own payment system let say for Bitcoin, then it will be more complicated and you really need to understand more technical things and setup your own bitcoind server and use JSON-RPC commands using the below API

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Original_Bitcoin_client/API_calls_list

and this is for JSON RPC, there are example for almost all famous programming languages
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/API_reference_(JSON-RPC)

Easier said than done! other then technical expertise there are many things you should be worried about and security might be the biggest concern you have to consider. So it's always better to use existing payment providers to minimize the risks at some cost.
