Vizsafe
the decentralized crowdsourcing safety network

Vizsafe’s blockchain-enabled app provides the only solution already in use by high profile Venues, Stadiums, and Smart Cities allowing any user to upload safety reports on its Geoaware™ Services Platform. Users submit images and videos of any issues they encounter, which are automatically timestamped and geo-tagged, shared with the appropriate authority and stored on Vizsafe’s servers. Meanwhile, hashes of this information are uploaded to the Ethereum blockchain to ensure that there is a permanent, tamper-proof record.

Token of value

This allows venue hosts to access a huge wealth of crowdsourced safety information about their venue in real time. To incentivize guests to become active participants in the process, Vizsafe has integrated its own blockchain token, SPOT.

SPOT is the internal reward system of the Vizsafe ecosystem. When users report an issue, a smart contract is created in the Ethereum blockchain that places a value on the information they provide. Once the issue has been addressed by security or an event employee, it is resolved on the Vizsafe platform using the same app. At that point, the person who reported it receives their reward in SPOT tokens.

This sounds like an idea that seems fun and good on paper, but is never going to work.

Let me get this straight:  Your app basically allows people to report "potentially dangerous situations", and in return they get a fee if there is indeed something prevented or do they just in general get a reward?

I'll just go to a concert/even make 200 pictures of people's backpacks, and the festival managers are going to check all 200 of them?

Your idea seems extremely far-fetched, don't you think? What am i missing?

Thank you for your feedback. Vizsafe is already in use for Fan and Guest reporting at major sports venues and facilities today, and we are excited to be integrating a Blockchain reward system to an already proven technology!

Users are only rewarded if their reports are verified by personnel and response partners. While there is the concern that users will file false reports and abuse the reward incentive, we have developed a 'User Trust Rating' system that allows those responsible for the well being of event goers to gauge potential incidents of abuse, as well as a mechanism to 'Report Abuse' similar to some social apps you may be familiar with.

You can learn more about Vizsafe's recent Blockchain integration here www.vizsafe.com/blockchain, and browse the rest of the site to understand how the software is currently being leveraged.
