I've tried downloading from different mirrors, restarting the download... It doesn't seem to mount on my disk. Has anyone had an issue like this? Would be nice to get started with btc but I can't even get a wallet. Sad

If you are just starting then you will get frustrated with bitcoin-qt. Go with Multibit or others that won't take days before you can use it.

Hmm, had the same issue with multibit so it's not a QT-centric issue. I'm going to try restarting my router, computer, and try downloading multibit again. Could you or anyone recommend any other methods to getting a wallet besides downloading computer software?
