That is the easiest question. If you do a simple google search you would already have known by now. Anyway let me list a few of the top brands for you. These are great both for mining and gaming.

1. Corsair 2. EVGA 3. Rosewill 4.Seasonic 5. CoolerMaster

This is my personal rating but you can be sure to have a great performance with each of these brands.

HP Common Slot series (DPS-1200 FB A for example) server power supplies are very robust and usually quite reasonably priced.

But you need to know what you are doing and buy some additional supplies if you use a server power supply in a GPU rig.

The DPS-1200 FB A will have a reasonable noise level if you are not having a 100% power capacity load.

It all depends on what is available to you and at what prices. I have a couple of platinum Seasonic 1000 watt PSUs and I am very pleased with them.

I'd choose the 1000W version of the HP DL380 PSUs. They are a lot cheaper (than 1200w) due to less demand and put a little less strain on the breakout boards.
Two of them + breakout boards with cables can be had for less than $100, making 2000w max from 20 6pin cables. Add picoPSU for completeness.

But Server PSUs are not for living areas, the high pitch whine can be heard through several closed doors.

I'm playing around with adding stacked 60mm fans to fanless DPS700GB, these PSUs cost close to nothing but have a different connector, so cables are custom.
One single data point for reference, this 700W PSU pulls 400W from the wall when feeding 5x75W GPUs, so 93+% going to the cards (assuming the cards really pulls 75W when restricted to 75W).

I had Corsair (Modular and Non-Modular), Superflower, also I had Enermax 700W for me All are the best for mining indeed those have different from prices and quality but all depend on usage and maintenance.

For consumer type PSUs i have never had problems with either Corsair or Seasonic.

That being said, you would be better off with a server PSU if you will be using it for mining. It's cheaper and more power efficient. Just do a quick search of server PSUs for mining and you should find out everything you need to know.

Keep in mind Cooler Master don't design their own PSU's from scratch. They usually buy designs from the other companies (seasonic mostly) and make some tweaking on the original designs before they create their own product.

If this is a good thing or bad it's up to you. I bought V1200 platinum from Cooler Master but can't use it because I am still waiting for the new Nvidia cards. Hopefully all will be good. Between those big brands you probably can't go wrong with either of them.

-EVGA (I am not exactly sure but i might have heard some bad stuff about this one.)
-Corsair
-Cooler Master
-Seasonic

Those are solid brands. Or you can try to find good server style HP brand PSU's for very cheap if you are lucky. Server PSU's are usually considered to be a better solution for mining rigs since they are designed to work 7/24 but somehow they are not as popular as ATX type PSU's.

Its platinum

At first look a great price for a very decent 1.2kw unit, but they have skimped on the protections, the inrush current one is the dealbreaker.

Just splurge on the Seasonic stuff, you're buying for like 10 years and Seasonic is the best you can buy ATM. The differences in prices are irrelevant on such timelines.

Second pick is Corsair, third EVGA.

Antec, Aerocool, Thermaltake and especially Shittymax are not made for mining. The ones we had either melted or exploded in 1-2 months of running at 60-70% load. All replaced by Corsairs, running 4 months now without issues.

So far, my preference for out of the box PSUs is EVGA. Corsair and Thermaltake are also good.

Old Dell and HP server PSUs are also built like tanks. If you add a breakout board, you can get very cost-effective units on Ebay.

I had long experiences with different brands.

For me

1. Corsair
2. EVGA
3. Thermaltake
4. Zalman
5.CoolerMaster
6.FSP

I heart Seasonic is also good. But I have never used this brand.

You can buy nr 1&2 with confidence.
