The collapse is no where near. Most of the growth now is not most based on speculation but by new adapters eager to use as store of value and as currency. This were mostly chinese and most chinese love to save.

Nobody knows for sure. It probably will correct, but the question is : is it going to be lower than 550 after the future correction/crash ? We might crash from 2000 to 600 In such a case it is still better to buy now and hold. Or it may crash this week during the official hearings in the USA. We don't know.

That's why its still speculation at this point. Better to buy in now at $550, or is it going to crash back down to $250. No one knows!

there seems to be about a 15% gap between bitstamp and mtgox.. i still don't understand how mt. gox can survive when it's so hard to get your money out, and the prices are so much higher than other exchanges.

already a new high of 575 USD on Mtgox.
This bull is wild.
So wild in fact that it must scare lots of people right now of jumping in. I think lots of people are watching and ready to buy the next correction. And it seems also lots of people keep buying no matter what the price is.

I hope 500 for a chance to see some capitulation. But, then again I hope for 1000 to see some real exuberance in the community (not like there is any now...)

IMO as long as this current interest keeps up we won't see a crash for awhile.

Good luck to Panel #2 in convincing the Senate that Bitcoin is a legitimate currency that has a potential use in society and just because drug dealers use it doesn't mean it's a menace to society.

Current bitcoin increase is fueled by Chinese adoption. Who only want to hide their money. And remember China is many times bigger than USA. Somewhere in the future even if US banned bitcoin it will cause a little dip on its prices if bitcoin will be mass adopted worldwide.
I'm waiting for India, Russia, South East Asia, South America and African Countries to mass adopt bitcoin and bitcoin price will be not less than 100k usd per bitcoin.

North, Central, and South American drug dealers primarily use the ($) USD for trading. Bitcoin has yet to reach it's peak in terms of value for investors. It is traded by a minority when compared with traditional currency. This is due to the fact that it is slightly more difficult to acquire and trade than traditional currency. And that issue is currently being addressed by a few Bitcoin exchanges.
