Thanks for sharing guys, gonna get some 550 ^^
It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

I don't recommend buying 550 cards at today's prices. I got all of mine for $85-$100 USD. You are better off getting RX 570/580 4/8 GB on amazon for $280 - $320.

guys can you help me? Do you have some idea, why my hashrate cant get 14mh/s anymore? After yours first help, I got 14.2MH/s with gpu 1200MHz and memory 2000MHz. But gpu had high temperature, so I tried to install latest AMD driver using DDU and flash new bios to my card. But after that, I can get from my cards only 13.6MH/s with gpu 1124MHz and memory 2000MHz.

if i OC gpu to 1200, hashrate falls down to 12.5MH/s. so i have no idea whats wrong with it. i tried to flash back my bios, install Blockchain driver, set claymore parameter -ethi 1 to 16. But still same problem.

Do you have some tips how to solve?

If you put the old bios back, something else has to be different.... you might have just learned your lesson...

ive got 13,9MH/s with clocks 1150MHz and 2000MHz, but after some automatic restart at night -> clocks were reset to default values. so I OC it again to 1150 and 2000MHz, but now i cannot get 13,9MH/s. Ive got only 12,3MH/s with these clocks. wtf? Do you know what's happened? Now if i set clocks to 1124 and 2000, i can get 13,5MH/s. Whats happened, do you have some idea?  Huh Huh

Before -> 1200MHz and 2000MHz => 14,2MH/s
after something -> 1200MHz and 2000MHz => 12,3MH/s .... so i changed clocks to 1150MHz and 2000MHz
now after restart -> 1200 and 2000 => 12,3MH/s , with 1150 and 2000 => 12,3MH/s ..... so only with 1124 and 2000 => 13,7MH/s  Huh Huh Huh

i dont know whats wrong with it.

I have 18 Asus RX 550 4GB cards. They are all Hynix memory. 14 get 14.1 -14.4 MH/s, the other 4 get between 12.5 and 13.8 MH/s.

GPU: 1200 MHz / 900 mV
Mem: 2000 MHz / 900 mV

Bios modded!

I have this card also, with lexa/hynix memory. Maybe you can share your mod bios to me. Plz contact me if the bios not free of charge. Thx.

That depend the type gpu's memory, eg. micon,elpida,samsung etc. I thing samsung that's can get 13-14mhs, the other just stack at 12mhs max.
You can use PolarisBiosEditor to mod your bios, just click "ONE CLICK MINING PATCH" . For change the timing strap section i can not suggest it, because too harmful for the GPU.

Mine are RX550 2GB cards with baffin core and elpida memory.

986mhz core and 1901mhz mem should give you around 14mh. I even downvolt them to 800mv in OverclocknTool. Running cool at 62-66 celcius

Man, this discussione is from 2018. You cann't mine eth with that kind of 4GB card at reasonable speed in 2021..

Go to whattomine and see by yourself what's best for you

You will see that you can mine 5.5 $day  in total of erg with 6 of that card.
ERG is mined with autolikos2 algos.
SRBMiner and TRM are the two best miner out there
You will be able to reach around 25 MHs per card.
In order to do so, is better to increase the frequency of the Lexa core.
YOu will find more info in the threads of the miners

Trtl is another option, as you can see by yourself. 10 MHS / card is about right with that algo and that card

He can mine ETC+ZIL also, on ERG it goes to 30mh per card.

Use polaris editor and strap your cards

I looked at the discussion of the miner on this video card, and found an interesting point.
On almost every page, users ask for an original BIOS for a video card Smiley
Before flashing the BIOS, save the original BIOS of the video card in order to restore it if it turns into a brick ..
