New here. Just trying to get out of newbie jail because I have a beef that needs posting in a certain feedback thread.

I like that comment "..newbie jail..." must admit it appeared a bit confusing at first. I use numerous forums and none have put me in quarantine before, should have read the registration page much more carefully. I was also confused because in the top banner bar it was saying "News : Change Password" which I did before realising the error of my ways.

I'm not really complaining but maybe the quarantine could be a bit more obvious?

It also took me a while to figure it out.  But that's ok.. probably great for reducing the number of spammers and whatnot.  Cool

This is unlike any other forum I've been on, but I hope I can also break out of newbie jail soon.

I've been on some where you need 50-100 posts before you can really do anything...  could be worse I guess  Grin

I agree many forums end up going over the same topic time and time again because newbies don't use the search feature or read some of the existing topics. I just think that maybe the banner line could indicate you are in newbie mode and reference a url that describes the process. I fully except it is my fault for not reading the info to begin with
