If they had a brain they would simply state that ALL bitcoin transactions are completely traceable. Bitcoin has nothing to do with crime, it helps the government trace everything. One day they will understand that bitcoin is direct democracy, and it can't be stopped!

Edward Lowery is actually the best speaker by far.
He at least does talk about "Digital currency", and not "Virtual Currency".
And he's being very reassuring, imho.

He's got a few bitcoins, for sure.  Grin

Anyone know who is on the second panel coming up after this break?

Charlie Kelly: I'm pleading the 5th.  The Attorney: I would advise you do that.  Charlie Kelly: I'll take that advice under cooperation, alright? Now, let's say you and I go toe-to-toe on bird law and see who comes out the victor?  The Attorney: You know, I don't think I'm going to do anything close to that and I can clearly see you know nothing about the law.

But that's actually not true if you don't reuse addresses.

hehe, they know more than they would want anyone to think they do, USD being virtual currency in itself is being world's reserve currency at the same time Wink

This is hyper-positive.

This is hyper-positive.
1) 'present laws are good enough'
2) 'virtual currency is not illegal'
3) 'keep jobs in USA'
4) 'just send us more money - that's all'

lol.  Government is no threat yet.

So long as Jennifer is running the show over there, the government is under good guidance and the right philosophy to let bitcoin grow well.

I've never sold to coinbase.  But about to sell them about 10 as a test.  How long do they take to transfer the funds to my bank account from the time I transfer them the coins?

It is "normal" ACH so usually 3-4 business days (sometimes 2 days it varies by bank).  No faster or slower than any other ACH transfer (Dwolla -> Bank, PayPal-> Bank, etc).
