I also have a vultr account and I run for almost 20 masternodes but with different masternode tokens. As I have understand you can only run 1 masternode coin only in a single Ip you cant run the same multiple masternode coin in just 1 IP cause only 1 masternode IP is acceptable. So the solution, I make almost 20 different masternode coin since its acceptable just not make a duplicate masternode with the same coin cause its not acceptable.

Can anybody confirm this? This means if, for example, I want to run 3 masternodes of the same coin, this means I do have to get three different VPS'?

You have now successfully completed the installation of 3 Chaincoin Masternodes on 1 VPS. This will cost you $9 a month to run 3 masternodes compared to $15 a month if ran on separate VPS instances.

so thet means for me 3 wiht 3 differnt IP...so yes 3

For running masternodes, I think your computer (VPS) is required enough storage (Hard disk) to store all blockdata (for example, Bitcoin requires about 150GB, ETH requires about 50GB...=> Sum all the requirement, you will have it).

I think it does not use much CPU and RAM +> 1CPU, 2GB-4GB of RAM is enough.

I'm running multiple masternodes on one vps - whether you can run multiple nodes from the same chain depends on the code. Some coins lock the ip address for mainnet, others dont. If the port is locked, you can only run one node for that coin per ip address. So the options are:

1. Run multiple coins - each has a different port, so they can all use the same ip address
2. Run coins that allow different ports - same ip address
3. Order more ip addresses
4. Use ipv6 if it is supported by your coin

I use a different user for each coin - that way the default installation works without having to pass additional parameters when running the commands.

It depends on Masternode's system spec. Usually, Masternode only requires a little of CPU usage to get your stakes but some Masternode requires more than just simply CPU. CPU usage spikes when trying to synchronize with the lastest block of the network, after that CPU usage is very low. Your Vultr $5/month got your cover for almost all of Masternodes.

i think, you an only run 1 masternode on 1 vps and you cant run 2 or more masternode of the same coin
You can run more than 1 Masternode on 1 VPS by switch port at the address if your VPS and MN can handle that. An example is shared Masternode service that runs multi MN on one or many kinds of cryptocurrency clients to optimize their profit.
