Recently, BitPay also announced adding BCH in its checkout amid the controversy around Antpool burning a portion of BCH coins.

Bitpay's addition of Bitcoin Cash is old news, and I believe some of Core supporters' rants that this is being done to "increase Bitcoin Cash's demand" is an overreaction.

Compute how much Antpool has burned so far. I believe it will not be that much. Haha.

Plus their statement explaining why they are doing it is not very clear.

the controversy is always surrounding bitcoin cash because it is always going to be an attack against bitcoin specially when they are advertising against bitcoin and misleading newbies.
during pumps this will increase because their advertisement and attacks also increase.

The outcome of any decision is still reliant on the reaction the vast majority of the participants are giving to it. If BCH is going to touch an unimaginable heights, it wont be out of controversy in that the more the controversies the more the popularity which is why I don't believe all the burning to have significant effect on the price ( if at all it happens in the first place). There are several strategies to make a coin a talk of the market and one of them is creating controversies like we have now. BCH has the potential but should focus on running its race alone than dragging bitcoin along with it.

BCH isn't really anything more than an altcoin airdroped to bitcoin holders. This thread should be moved to a more appropriate Altcoins section.

BCashers have a habit of trying to find crucial points of attention and then pump the price manipulatively. Roger Ver then goes on air and boasts about "Bitcoin Cash has increased by 80% while Bitcoin has still grown like only 20%". The moment he goes off air, they call it curtains and the price dips back.

Nothing new in this. Its a shame that he has been able to fool so many people for so long. The crook shouldn't have gotten hold of bitcoin.com in the first place.

Yes, I have noticed recent movements with the value of BCH. If this lasted, there could be a heated discussion and conflict about it. I personally think some miners can actually move forward, while supporting the BCH. Blockchain.info supports BCH by adding a type of wallet to store them online. There seems to be a clear factual perception.
