I've been waiting of a transaction for more than 6 hours, and it's still in "unconfirmed" status. Transaction fees of 0.0001 were paid on a ~.7 btc transfer.

Blockchain.info is saying 72 hours (queue position 4996)

Is anyone else having problems? Maybe the blockachin is bogged down with all the transactions?

What can I do short of waiting? Who knows what my BTC will be worth in 72 hours?!?!?

Thanks

Yeah, I think there's been so many transactions that they are starting to get backed up.

For ex mine (https://blockchain.info/tx/ef9db135e0700759ac547a3bbc059cc06b712eca9b362c0fc4fbb14d60151510) has been in process for more than 12 hours and shows no sign of getting picked up.

Kinda...y'know. Show's some of bitcoin's shortcomings as a currency.

Consider it as an adjusting period for itcoin to adjust to the increasing usage. Very soon the big miners will notice an they will increase the size of the blocks they produce to accommodate the increasing volume of transactions.

Will take me a while to climb up again, But where is a will, there is a way...

Also having problems here with a couple of transactions.  Estimated confirmation time is 20+ hours on blockchain.info.

Large mining pools should offer "next block confirm" for an additional fee after a transaction is broadcast with unintentionally "low" fees.

Or perhaps the client should give some indication how deep the backlog is so we can bid accordingly with our fees ahead of time.

I am pretty sure you didn't get 20 confirmations in 40 minutes. Just going to go out on a limb on that one.
