Which wallet would you say is the easiest to use ?

This is a very subjective question, and really depends on the individual.

MyEtherwallet(MEW) is best for Etherium and Eth based tokesn(ERC20 tokens.) I use blockchain.info and coinbase for Bitcoins. Hardware wallet is the most safest wallet.
for a  beginner bellow wallets, I recomed,

NEO and NEO based token: NEON wallte
ETH and ERC20: MEW
Bitcoin: coinbase or blochain.info

I recommend that you use exodus, it is a simple wallet and very comfortable to use. It offers several currencies and is always being updated. Of course most are tokens based on ethereum but to start is a very good option

if you are looking for mobile wallet which supports multi coins, try coinomi
it supports BTC, LTC, ETH and many other altcoins and most major tokens
it's an HD wallet (BIP44) easily backupable, it has also a built-in coin exchange and a lot more features
pretty easy to use and importantly you don't need to download whole blockchain for any coin you have

I created my first wallet on blockchain.info but now I am using the paper wallet as well as hardware wallet because I believe that holding funds offline is not a wise idea to hold funds securely. Easier to use and flexible but when it comes to the security I will always prefer using security generated paper wallet and reputed hardware wallet. As a newbie, I would suggest you go with the paper wallet and hold your friends offline.

You can try with the Metamask wallet first. It is easy to use and safe. You can login as normal accounts without knowing the keystone / json file types. It will be easier to use with newbies

I am using mew from the beginning and I think it is very easy to use. I can personally recommend it to you. Just be careful to use original link that s all. Your coins will be safe in it. It never disappointed me before.

You need know which coin you need wallet. myetherwallet is covers all ERC20 token. If you planed token on other algoritm, use others wallet.
