Not buying gold because some price of USD/BTC really doesnt make sence.

So you would basically never buy gold, right?

I think Gold is proven and stable, but we haven't seen Bitcoin upside yet ($1200 would be cheap if it has the potential of 10x that in future).

Yay, out of the newbie section!  I wouldn't put all your money in one basket unless you're gung-ho.  I've been brainwashed to never put all your eggs in one basket.  So my thoughts are to diversify.  With that said, some gold here, bitcoin there, silver, litecoin and other financial vehicles, which I have so far Smiley

Voted both!  Why not take something intangible and buy something tangible with it (BTC to GOLD) and now you turned a worldwide online currency to a tangible worldwide currency!!  lol  Grin

Indeed! It just wouldn't make sense from an investor's perspective do just do one or the other if your interested in investing.

you are asking a site dedicated to BTC.. i don't think the answer will be very surprising. it'd be like asking gold lovers if they'll buy btc or gold.

All you goldbugs know that the feds keep track of large purchases of gold and silver?

Wouldn't be surprised if it starts getting confiscated when a "crisis" erupts.

It happend in the communist countries , and let me tell you that it didn't stop people from buying and hiding gold.
