Couldn't agree more, there are so many alt-coins out there now and most of them will in the end be worth nothing. Buying into any of them is a way larger gamble than buying into Bitcoin or Litecoin.

Every coin is going to the moon according to coinmarketcap.com. Amazing performance lately.
Are newbies buying all of then them?

Would be nice to have a service which would create all needed keys or wallet for every single coin type so one could get a portfolio for e.g. $1000 containing all type of coins. Like a coin fund.

I have to agree, the much higher alt-coins risk is not justified by potential much higher profit. And given the number of alt-coins it is hard to imagine anyone will actually use these for anything other than trade to Bitcoin
