Dual Xeon 5639, or better. must be able to handle (the more cores, threads, and cache the better) i realize 5520's have a higher base clock, however the cache of the 5639, coupled with ht and multiplicity of cores makes it superior for the tasks i require.

2x250 gb harddrive, raided

64 gb ram

1gbps port (can be metered so long as its burstable to 1g)

3 ip addresses.

looking for quotes.

paying in BTC preferrably.

best deal i've found on this setup is 74 USD a month

Post a link to the hosting company so at least the person can get an actual deal at that price.

Neither provide 64 GB RAM, and the closest configuration to that is more expensive than the figure you listed. So where did you get the 74$ figure ?

upgrade the ram to 48 gb and it comes out at 74 dollars. i know the guy on webhostingtalk.com and he said he would do 64 for me at the same price.

Are you planning to do RAID without a second hard drive ? That is another $5.

Are you planning to get a 1Gbps port with a 100Mpbs one ? That is another $10.

+$25 for 48GB RAM, final price: $89.

So what is the price you are looking for ?

depends on the bandwidth(and the bandwidth of the host company which is very important), and ddos mitigation, etc.

generally i would like it to be somewhere around 89-250 with the right features, and a possibility to upgrade further as i can afford to.

major things i'm looking for is a strong network, non scammy/ridiculous prices(as many bitcoin accepting hosts have unfortunately)

the hardware requirements are firm though. i will need every mb of L3 cache and all 24 threads Smiley

I don't know what's the issue, have you heard about hetzner for example ? https://www.hetzner.de/en/hosting/produkte_rootserver/px90

thanks but i am not interested in hetzner. they charge a setup fee i can't afford, don't accept bitcoin, and dont offer a dual L5639 setup.

haggling over a one time fee, really ?

You might want to re-define what your priority is, is it accepting bitcoin or getting a quality provider ? There is no bitcoin business that can get even close to hetzner, and most are just re-selling at a premium.

Still seems very cheap for that type of bandwidth and specs.

Also you will be hard pressed to find a dedicated server that will push and achieve 1gb a sec, most of the time its just a limitation in the network cards, PCI bus, drive speed, etc..

You can find this type of hardware and setup however, I don't think it would be in the sub $100 range.

I'm still not seeing the setup mentioned in the OP at this price. 64 != 48

48 is plenty, 64 is overkill, and thus desirable  Cheesy

Why don't you head over to
https://lowendbox.com and look around for some cheap VPS's. This way you won't get ripped off.
