you can ask the buyer to pay the paypal fee when they purchase But I'm still struggling to find a guy / exchange that accepts paypal, not virwox. edit: I could use localbitcoins... not sure. I can't believe you this for free, and at same time making bitmain a millionaire virtually over night. got me baffled how you even want to do all this work for nothing. What do u mean by this? seriously, why would you do all this work for nothing in return. there are buyers here willing to buy in bulk, if you're like the rest of us why not just let bitmain worry about selling them to whoever wants to buy including yourself and then you wouldn't have to ask people for their eBay rating, and worry about converting to bitcoins for bitmain etc, etc. just let bitmain do the work. relax dude you shouldn't have all this pressure... for what? there are buyers interested, there is bitmain who wants to sell, it's simple. and another thing if you did accept paypal which IMO is a risk, why not just use bitmains paypal email address and cash goes directly to him. no need to convert to BTC and at the same time the risk is on him? and really what is he going to do with BTC especially with recent news in China. Bitmain only accepts bitcoin. <will edit here when i use my computer to answer your questions> hey cxboyminer, don't stress you don't have to answer these questions to me. they are for you to think about and answer to yourself. I hope you get this sorted and it works out good for you. If bitmain wants to be more transparent and give everyone more updates on progress, problems or no problems would be a step in the right direction. Cheers merv77 I do this to build trust on this forum for the future. I hope to get some btc back from bitmain if it works out well, hopefully. I think bitmain will announce U1 this weekend.

I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas waiting for info on the U1's. We've seen software shots, units in nifty little containers, etc.

after today these U1's if they going to sell they'll have to be UNDER $14 each. and even then, it'll be just for novelty or an ornament. Unless you think 0.45 cents a day return is a good investment

Unless you think 0.45 cents a day return is a good investment I basically want to consolidate, we've got a small bulk of AM sticks that we want to unload from our small mining op but want to ideally do a 5-1 replacement from AsicM to AntM ( ) sticks, free up some hubs we can sell as bonus items too. If the price is right we'll buy some for resale also. But quite right, whatever the delay was plus this next diff increase sets the reasonable price point for the U1's pretty damn low. $25 and under and we'll buy a cubic crapton, $50 is debatable, anything higher and I question the business acumen of Bitmain.

Unless you think 0.45 cents a day return is a good investment If you have 100 of them, it's $45/day * 30 = $1350/month. I always calculate a 90 days break even with todays difficulty, so that's ~$40/piece.

I'll still say about $12 each is good price just for a toy to add to the collection.

The bottom line is they will be more then they should be. 60-80 at least. So if you buy them you will need to sell them on ebay at 100-130 each. Sell 2 and keep 1.

We already had this conversation ... I think most people aren't ebay resellers & high stick price will probably make them take the money and join a group buy Furthermore - with the price of BTC today - you are better off buying BTC than spend a 100$ on a stick that will never return its buying price. with high price on these sticks - it will never be worth buying for mining
unless you are a reseller on ebay - and if this is the case why doesn't bitmain sell this directly on ebay? why would they need us?
do you have any idea how hard it is to sell on ebay? if he makes 10,000 sticks he has 0 control over clever people buying the gear hashing with it and charging back. some wise guy will dummy up a few dozen accounts buy 150 sticks and return them in 44 days claiming they do not work. Hopefully this is an incentive to have these reasonably priced

To all the "just sell it on ebay" people: What happens to the price on ebay if all of the 10000 pieces go into ebay? Do you really think that you will get $100 pp? And 10000 is just the amount of this group buy...

And 10000 is just the amount of this group buy... frankly this deal is dying as I type diff jumped 30%. so selling these at 100-130 will not be easy. I have a 2.4 ice fury listed it is at 152 usd as I type. so if these are 1.6 that is 2/3 which means 100 usd may be the max price. as for roi at 100. many buyers of these sticks on ebay get discounted purchase a 100 dollar stick may be as little as 70 to them and if they live in a wi 'free power' setup . the sticks will roi . if you want 10 sticks for in home and you are burning your own power these will not be that good. I will attach 10-15 of these to my ltc miner. they would add under 30 watts to my system. and my ltc miner is making 5 usd a day profit not count the free heat I get from it. So roi for me is different. then many users. If these never come out for sale I will use ice fury sticks the same way.

Time keeps on rolling by and the value of these things drops by the day.
This will soon become a dead project I fear.

Quite frankly Bitmain had every opportunity to help cxboy (or anyone else who PM'd them and didn't hear back) organize people if they knew they were doing this absurd 500 piece batch bullshit. Now they can enjoy watching these sit in their cases while nobody buys.
