--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello there,

I would like to list the domain names below for sale. Offers by PM preferable, otherwise please place offers in this topic for my consideration. I recognise that some of the names are more valuable than others.

It is widely acknowledged that Bitcoin will be known in the future as XBT, not BTC. With the world's gaze turned firmly on Bitcoin it is an auspicious time to secure one of the premium domain names listed below. I believe that a time will come when XBT will be traded widely on Forex markets. In such a situation, a domain name such as 'xbtinvestor' will become highly in demand.

Payment accepted either in fiat or (and preferably) BTC and will be routed through a trusted escrow.

Only serious offers please.

Correct, although I opted for a private WHOIS with internetbs.com to avoid having my personal information scanned by bots. All domains are listed on SEDO at the moment, I would of course much prefer that people who wish to buy convene here to avoid commission charges for both of us.

I must've missed something. Why would it be called XBT and where is this acknowledged?

I do not under tand that reasoning.

Would that not be like calling gold XAU?

We generally call things by their name, not their proposed ticker symbol, surely?

Feel free to give me an example where I would be incorrect.

If you go to the Speculation forum section, some wannabe economists/bankers call Bitcoin XBT Wink

Interesting.

I guess XBT does have a certain aura about it.

All part of the move towards wider adoption.

The ironic thing ofcourse is that OP himself failed to use the newer term:

XBT replaces BTC on "real" tickers because BTC is already assigned to some Canadian corporation nobody's ever heard of. In reality, they're just domain squatters. owait. Tongue

Yes, sarcasm. Although I only have 4 or 5 of them anyway.
