Howdy folks.  I am new here, and so I am posting a "substantial" post here of "as least several sentances".

Well thats two now I guess.

A little about me, I am a stock broker for a very large firm in NY, but I am trying to angle into a position in a "cryptocurrency" desk.  (something that does not yet exist)  While I am a peon in the bitcoin world for sure, a lot of the people I know and work with are big deals in this world, so thats cool.  I recently bought a bunch (50) avalon mini rigs in the tradehill auction and have been hashing while selling them off.  It's fun, and its been an adventure for sure.  I am also going to be posting some things for sale here... mostly crafty type stuff such as rings and earing made with ASIC instead of gems ect. I have a few small business that are bitcoin centric that I am starting... not really scaleable stuff, more like humping it selling teeshirts and other things locally.

Okay, so I think thats enough for a first post... but I have one more thing.  Does anyone else think it would be a good idea to take old mining rigs, like these avalon minis and put them in nursing homes?  I know it sounds silly, but, think about it.  They need space heaters, the nosie wouldn't bother them as much, and you could just put a wifi hotspot in teh building.  I think its a good idea.

Oh yeah, and one other thing... As much as I love bitcoin, does anyone else feel sort of like a villian from an episode of captain planet?

Hi,

I am also a newbie here that wants to get started with bitcoins. I have actually first heard about cryptocurrencies quite a long time ago, and I had a feeling that it was going to get big.

The first time I looked into bitcoins the price was less 1 USD, and I thought to myself that maybe I should put a 100$ on it just for fun. Unfortunately at the time there wasn't as much information as there is today, and it was not that easy to buy bitcoins from the country where I live, so eventually after browsing a bit through several different websites I ended up putting the idea aside. Ohh how I regret it now... I wonder if it is not too late for me, I hope not.

Well, I have now registered on a few websites and I'd would be willing to buy 1 or 2 BTC at the current prices, but I have to wait for the validation of my account, which sucks... I am also looking into other alternative currencies with interest, perhaps I will put a few dollars on few different ones after doing my research, just to see where it takes me.

HI,
I'm also new. Bought 1/2 bitcoin at 294 - thought that was the high - and sold it at 415. Made a small profit but now really want more bitcoins!
Trying to decide when to buy again - like most people I guess.....

Hi,
I'm also new to the forum here. I first heard about Bitcoins a month ago and started mining immediately. And already use some bitcoin related ads on my website.
Unfortunately I can't get a password reset link for my bitads.net account via email and I'm not allowed to post on the appropriate thread or send a pm to the administrator of this website. It would be nice, if someone could accept me as "real" member of this forum to get access to my account on bitads again.
Thanks!

I was there a few weeks ago, but there were no bitcoiners there at the time. Sounds like fun though.
