CPU mining can be used until at least block 6250.
To mine with CPU enter "setgenerate true NUMBER_OF_CORES" in the Debug Console, change NUMBER_OF_CORES to your CPU cores number, for example "setgenerate true 4".
To update your masternode, use the Update Guide in the previous message. Current release version is "v0.12.1.5-912fc38-hf-70210".(modificato)

What I'm wondering is while looking on the block explorer: There are 15 master nodes, but no one is getting any reward. Wasn't the MN reward supposed to start from block 3600?

There are two options that affect the MN payments - MN payments starting block (which is actually 3600) and the MN payments enforcement spork. The enforcement is switched on by now, as well as the block 3600 is passed. So every payee have a masternode reward by now.

HARD FORK ANNOUNCEMENT

Please be aware that we just finished the process of the chain's fork.
To stay in the right chain you need to update the wallets.

To learn more information about the causes of this fork, please read the explanation in our Reddit and Discord.

What have been done with the fork:

1. All the attacker's root addresses are blacklisted and no transaction can be accepted from these addresses or any other linked addresses.
2. The Recovery Fund was set by minting 20.000 LINC at block 6200. All unspent funds will be burned prior to the block 21600.
3. Slow "re-start" was made due to some mining issues. Now the network is stable.


We have found out that not everyone realize what kind of work was done and why. Please consider, that no progress is possible without the issues.
All the actions we have taken are aimed to ensure the stability of the network and the fairness towards our community.
We DO NOT TOLERATE any sort of the tricks and hacks aimed at destabilizing the network and we will continue to take all the necessary measures to prevent it.

We are pleased to present you the announcement of our next update called "AEQUILIBRIUM"!

With this update we're going to implement the concept describing the set of measures, required for ensuring the fair and favourable conditions for the early mining. The main idea is to prevent a number of attacking vectors, that are highly probable an easily performable on the networks with the low and unstable hashrate.

As you know, last week we released the update causing the hard fork of the chain as the response to the complex and sophisticated attack aimed at destabilizing the LINC network by producing a huge amount of consistent orphaned blocks forged by the legit mining pools. As a response, all the inputs of the attacker are blocked now, and the further compensations are going to be made to those, who was affected by the consequences of this attack.

Through the joint efforts of the LINC Team and our Tech and Business Adviser MLT, a number of measures had been developed, in order to significantly reduce the intention of dishonest and selfish miners to carry out such attacks as well as all other relevant attacks.
