Sure, they can't foam anyone's milk or use the microwave without tripping the main breaker on the 60 amp panel that powers the cafe, but they don't understand how rich you'll be, so long as they keep letting you show up from 9-5, 7 days a week to mine. The $13/day (well, maybe $7 a day, since they aren't open 24/7) you make from your $2000 piece of equipment will pay off in no time, so long as you include the coffee they make you buy before they kick you out.

Electricity isn't free of charge. You'll be running up the bill of either a local entrepreneur or a tax funded building, and effectively stealing from them.
Imagine that without your knowledge your neighbor has been running all his appliances through your meter. Would you be cool about it, knowing that your electric bill over the course of how many years could have been a lot less? You probably wouldn't.

In terms of resources, not even renewable energy sources give you electricity free of charge. We just like to think they do.

The good thing is you can mine in public places! I don't think anyone will restrict you doing so(at first).

The bad thing is, economically speaking, it doesn't make any sense. You plan to bring some S9's (or powerful laptop you will destroy mining) and plug in for the time you will stay there to guard it/them. So you will pay $3000 for a miner you will interrupt regularly just for free electricity. It just doesn't make sense, not to mention you could do something else beside guarding your miners in public.

Also, you may be extra-charged for using the electricity or even face a lawsuit for theft.

It would not be possible since a mining rig would be a set of multiple GPUs so it is not possible to take in public places since it would be heavy and big.
If you are considering mining in mobile devices and laptops then it would be possible, however you are risking damage to your device or laptop since its component is not mean for heavy stress due to workload, since mining is very taxing in the hardware that you are using.

This idea sounds crazy. Maybe you want to relocate in an area perhaps that has cheap electricity. Its crazy how one can find a public area to mine. People who will see you will notice the kind of noise your conputer is making and its actually very heavy set up you're gonna bring along with you. Seriously, i think you don't know what you're talking about.

I think mining crypto currencies platform is a very different area of expertise. It is possible to mining when you bring together the necessary equipment. I think mining in public places is ok

I think that this is considered stealing because you use resources from an entity to produce profit for you so you might get charged with stealing.
And I hope that everyone who is considering doing this would be charged because this is stealing and just another way to cheat and to gain more than others.

Ahah ... a very funny idea, electricity is not free, only if you use solar panels, but they need to be created and properly set up, so this is also a paid service. In general, there is no free electricity, so I think it will not be right.

You can't mine in public places unless you own a commercial / residence space where you can simply use the source of energy near there but you will be charge of it.

If you want free of charge, you have to invest in solar.

It is possible yo use solar panels but you have to invest on that one, too. Aside from the electricity bills, you have to invest in a cooling system, too. Well, depending on the place where you are in.

Moreover, I don't thinknit really is adviceable to mine in a public place. No matter what equipments you have, it is still questionnable.
