Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

thanks all. all said and done, i basically got a 15% discount on this as opposed to direct purchase so lol. a wins a win. those no win streaks get to a guy.

have a few 20 pesos, one of my first and favorite vintage bullion, but the blank nickel is new to me. PARTY!
