PoS is good choice because it allows small investors, who don't have rigs and don't have enough money to buy masternodes still have opportunities to get passive earnings from staking their coins.

Pos stands for Proof of Stake, which means that you can validate a block transaction according on the amount of coins you holds. So that you will get rewarded with coins. The more you hold, the more rewards you have.

I do not know of any BTC address you can send (as a dev) to pay for a new coin creation.
