There are many things that you should pay attention on while using Bitcoin. The first and foremost is the transaction fee. I have seen many cases where people have sent a huge amount of fees by mistake for a small amount of btc. The second thing is that never disclose your private to anyone and never speak about how much you own publicly. Never make any transactions on public PC (Internet Cafe) . Also, never trust any websites which says earn free BTC or some BTC in a very short time. Try differentiate between obvious scams.

You should be very precise when it comes to transactions you make. Check the address several times. And make sure your pc is under virus protection, use only well-known and certified bitcoin-connected sites (exchanges)
