My cat, she has never, ever been wrong.

I have lost as many times I have gained, but I blame myself for mis-interpreting her meows.

My dartboard.

Doesn't work for me, I am good at darts. Would end up not trading - will still have the same number of bitcoins, mind.

Maybe I can teach my cat to throw darts?

Whoever it is likely wouldn't sell his methods for less than, at the very best, half a million dollars. That's probably very conservative.

I wouldn't know who it is. Of those talking about speculation, everyone made mistakes at some point, but there were a few exceptionally effective people. If there was someone on that level who did not have major misses, that person is certainly rich now.

That's the problem with the best analysts, they have no reason to share what they think so we can't even know whether they exist. But I have the impression that a few of the TA guys might have hit gold with the Bitcoin market, there's just so many newbies and hobbyists around. Maybe someone managed to model that and make a killing.

You might want to check Goomboo's Journal. AFAIK he doesn't disclose exactly what he does at any given time, but the way he demonstrated how to make huge profits off Bitcoin using a primitive method was really surprising.

For me...

chodpaba's depth of analysis, and quantity of unique thoughts to exceed everyone else.
cypherdoc does a great job of summarizing in layman's terms and is generally a good barometer of overall market sentiment.
S3052 is the only service I subscribed to (over a year), and found his ability in identifying price targets to be quite accurate, with early identification of trend found lacking.

But my favorite is to just read a few pages of the wall thread, get a conglomerate sense from everyone.
The market is made up of a diverse mix- best to hear from as many of them as possible.

Of course, when I want a rock-solid, can't-go-wrong approach, then I just play the Bitcoin Rally Song or Bitcoin Slump Song and wait :-P

instead of looking for such a person, maybe we could sit all together and decide what to do and when. We could buy bitcoins all at once or sell. That way we will create huge waves. There will be tons of money to be made on new investors. They will drop bitcoin the next day but who cares, bitcoin will be dead because no one would touch so volatile market with 100 meters long stick but we will be rich. Only this is important, right?

I use my farts.

When I'm confused whether to buy or sell, I let one out. If I can't bear the smell, I turn bull and buy. If I can bear it, I turn bear and sell.

Sometimes, without even posing the question, some gas leaks out silently and that tells me a major dark pool order has taken place.

Hasn't let me down yet, though I'm pretty sure my cube mates aren't very appreciative of my trading indicators.

edit: But seriously, masterluc knows his shit.

I nominate slipperyslope

This is not some pseudoeconomic post-modern Libertarian cult, it's an un-led, crowd-sourced mega startup organized around mutual self-interest where problems, whether of the theoretical or purely practical variety, are treated as temporary and, ultimately, solvable.
Censorship of e-gold was easy. Censorship of Bitcoin will be… entertaining.
