It will happen in less than 2 years. Bit coin is viewed as digitall gold and will
be traded as a security/comodity. For day by day transactions we will have
another coins, probably a faster one ltc xpm, who knows.

That is the only way I will become a millionaire..... screw petty gains, $1000/BTC is nothing

Whewnever the mainstream pushes it into the next bubble, perhaps even the bubble that breaks the system.  Think about it, it isn't a bubble yet, but after significant rises once it gets hyped by the mainstream and all the highly leveraged players enter the market, the profits from Bitcoins and alt-coins will get ridiculous, and as soon as their price drops the fiat system will crumble.  People always argue about whether Bitcoin is a bubble, and I say not yet.  But eventually I don't see how there won't be highly leveraged players attracted to the profits and then it would get pushed into a bubble.  We are far from that scenario, but I'm waiting for that to happen before I cash out.

I for one didn't think it was going to jump from a study $300-450 to over $900 in one weekend.

There is going to be a ton of computing power that will go online in the next 90 days.  I highly suspect the next jump will be by March to around $1200 to $1500.

I don't think hashing power is correlated to the increase in price.

100k is possible in my mind because i bet most of the wall street/bankers have not jumped on yet. once the big hitters join, they could pour billions of dollars into bitcoin.

Well there is a thread with a nice regression analysis somewhere. I can't find it now but it's pretty optimistic  Tongue
Nonetheless we are after a huge crash so talking about 100.000$ is out of context right now :p

It will happen eventually. But it depends on a LOT of factors.
I have no clue WHEN this would happen...

You need a lot of money to keep $100,000 per BTC relatively stable, keep in mind whales have over 10.000 BTCs and their work is manipulate the price for a profit.

I guess it cant happen.

I don't think this will happen.

For most of the people it will be to much to buy 1 BTC. I know that you also can by 0.000001 BTC but I think there are to many complications and insecurities for BTC to raise as high as 10 K.

History shows you cant go wrong buying anytime and just holding. Panic sell (buy high, sell low) only cost you money. So why worry about crash? It just mean oppurtunity to buy cheap
