Why does everyone post set BTC prices when everyone knows it fluctuates between 100's of dollars within a few hours?

One was recently auctioned for £245 (about $390) on ebay. People claim it has a retail value of $600 +, which could at one time have been true, but seeing as Debaufre is pretty much out of business now it'll be impossible to have replacement parts sourced in order to repair the watch if it ever gets damaged (a sure fire scenario if you're buying a luxury watch, which are meant to last for life).
